National Executive Council (NEC) under the leadership of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has ordered the following actions to be taken as justice for #EndSars victims in Nigeria.

1. The VP directed for the immediate establishment of Judicial Panels of Inquiry in the cases of police brutality across the 36 states which 28 of which have sat have submitted their reports.

2. The NEC through the mandate of VP Osinbajo has commenced payment of N25bn compensation to victims in 28 states across Nigeria. Out of which over 400million was paid 70 victims in Lagos.

3. The NEC under the leadership of VP Osinbajo has directed leadership the Nigeria Police Force to take disciplinary action on the officers found guilty of brutalizing innocent Nigerians.

This has led to the indictment of officers such as Jide Akinola with Force Number -32405 attached to Sabo Police Station, Yaba Lagos. DSP Ohilebo Afegbai an officer of Nigeria Police Force was also demoted for the shooting of one Barr. Micheal Alloy Dawam on December 21 2019 Through the leadership of VP Osinbajo, the Judicial Panel also indicted one CSP Okon Ekpa Asuquo. T

he panel also ordered that 1 million naira be paid as compensation to the victim. The money is to be recovered from CSP Asuquo's salary and CSP Asuquo was referred to Psychiatric examination facility to determine his mental status before continuing in the Police Force. The panel has also indicted many police officers some of whom have been sentenced to death. They are ; Corporal Awoleke (force number: 38919) who was dismissed from his job and sentenced to death for the killing of Late Hammed Musibau

- Three Police officers were sentenced to death by hanging after being found guilty of robbing, torturing and killing innocent travellers along Okene, Kogi state on December 17, 2001. With some of this revelations, is it safe to say that NEC under the leadership of VP Osinbajo is working hard to ensure that Justice is being served to Victims of Police Brutality.
