Beginning from 5pm today, Thursday, 16th December 2021, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye will preside over the Ogun State Government's annual Christmas Carol and Service of 9 Lessons. The event, which is expected to last for about five hours, is slated to hold at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the state capital. In a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile, he said the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who is the Chief host, will be among the many dignitaries that will witness the popular clergy ministering at the event.
While urging Christian faithful to turn out for the programme, Odusile said all attendees must comply strictly with all covid-19 protocols. The Commissioner also advised those that cannot physically attend to join the live broadcast on TV and social media platforms. "We want all those coming to be aware that there would be mass turnout and there will be many dignitaries trooping into the state from all walks of life. "As such, it is expected that all those who want to be in attendance will adhere strictly to the measures put in place against the spread of the coronavirus. "We are also going to broadcast it live on TV and all our social media platforms", he said.
