Our Story

Who we are

This site is a collection of economic articles written by renowned economist (Late) Sir Henry OlujimiBoyo, 1948-2019. These articles have been published in credible print media on a weekly basis since the year 2004. Sir Henry was broadcast regularly on national television and radio to share his ideas and recommendations on how Nigeria could rapidly transform its economy in order for the everyday Nigerian to benefit from a high standard of living.

Sir Henry authored the ‘Economic Renaissance’ column in Monday’s editions of Punch Newspaper and the ‘Rational Perspectives’ column in Monday’s edition of the Vanguard Newspapers. He received the Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) for best columnist of the year in 2012. He was the publisher of ‘Cosmetics and Beauty’ Magazine, as well as the Niger Delta News when it was in circulation. He was Chairman of Cosmetics Manufacturers and Ethics Association (COSMEAN) of Nigeria; he was also the Honourable Treasurer of the Ikeja Chapter of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).

Sir Henry pioneered the “Save the Naira, Save Nigeria” movement.

He advocated for a stronger currency and blamed the Central Bank of Nigeria’s poorly thought out monetary policies for the weak Naira- the root of the myriad of problems Nigeria faces today. His proposed recommendations if properly executed would transform the Nigerian economy in just under a year! This site aims to preserve his intellectual property, and continue to spread the “gospel” in the faith that one day the Nigerian government would put the needs of its people first and execute these recommendations.

In the words of Sir Henry: “Save the Naira, Save Nigerians!”
