In a bid to further strengthen its operations in the years ahead, the board of Fidson Healthcare Plc, has announced the appointment of an executive director and two non-executive directors.
In a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the company secretary named the new board members as Ola Ijimakin, a former Regional Manager, northeast, as Executive Director in charge of Commercial; while Dr. Vincent Ahonkhai and Ekwunife Okoli, were named Non-Executive Directors.
Ola Ijimakin:
Ijimakin, a 1994 graduate of Pharmacy from the University of Jos, is joining the board, eight and half years after joining the company as regional manager, northeast, after which he rose through the ranks, becoming General Manager, Sales and Marketing from May 2016, until his elevation to the board.
The statement applauded Ijimakin’s experience and drive for results as reflected in the more than 100% revenue growth from N7.6bn to N17bn over the years, stressing that “his appointment as commercial director is a testament to the hard work and commitment shown consistently over the years.”
Dr. Vincent Ahonkhai
Ahonkhai, an expert in Global Health and biopharmaceutical Research and Development, is currently an independent consultant and principal at Gwyedd Consultancy, LLC in Pensylvania, USA, from he consults for such organizations as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others
He is expected to bring on board, vast experience in research and development, which is crucial to the development of the pharmaceutical industry.
Ekwunife Okoli
Okoli, a versatile sales and marketing executive, was executive director at Diageo Plc, having been Managing Director of the company’s arms in Cameroun and Ghana, after which he became MD for Africa and Regional markets.
He sits on the board of Cornerstone Insurance Plc.
